Sturmform comes from mould making and knows how injection moulds work. Today our focus is on repair and modification of moulds and on inserts, slides and cores.

Repair and modification

Existing injection moulds, also from other makers, are modified and repaired at short notice: recut contours, replace inserts, renew slides and cores, retrofit cooling, work in part changes. When a moulding machine stands still every day counts, so repairs get priority.

Inserts, slides and cores are machined on the 5-axis centres, contours in hardened steel on the wire EDM. Fits and parting lines are checked on the coordinate measuring machine.

Spare parts for toolmakers

We supply toolmakers and moulders with inserts, electrodes, slides and cores to drawing or 3D model. Our background in 2K, multi-cavity and unscrewing moulds helps us read your drawing correctly.

Working together

Send us the mould or the affected inserts and, if available, the design data. Without data we measure the affected areas. Complete new moulds are built only in exceptional cases by arrangement.

Questions we are asked

Do you repair moulds from other makers?

Yes. We need the mould and, if available, the design data. Without data we measure the affected areas.

How fast is a repair?

It depends on the damage. Smaller jobs such as replacing an insert or recutting a contour are usually done within a few days.

Do you build complete new injection moulds?

Only in exceptional cases by arrangement. Our capacity is in repair, modification and inserts. For new moulds we recommend a mould maker and supply the inserts on request.
